For the photo shoot which took place in the high spec filming studio we have here in college, we utilized the HD cameras to take still photos rather than video footage. Initially, we had spent a couple of hours attempting to achieve the right lighting in the room and using standard digital photo cameras. However, after using three different standard cameras, we found ourselves struggling in the creation of useful shots that would be usable in editing at a later date. So we decided to position the three HD studio cameras in various places and carry out a 'photo shoot' in this method. We borrowed some stage stairs from the college theatre and covered them with a cloth to provide the elevated effect so that Maddie could be edited on to the piano for the CD cover and advert material. This proved to work fantastically and really provided the high quality photos we were looking for to make for smoother editing later on.

For the creation of the print media, we used Photoshop, which is used by the industry for the creation of high quality static media like our CD covers and advertisements. Photoshop has a full pallet of tools which allowed us to really play with the media and use it to it's maximum potential in the print material.
As with our video production, the use of technology played a vital part in the creation of our print media. We have created a full post on our use of Photoshop which can be found here - http://loretomedia-c1-11-group4.blogspot.com/2011/12/photoshop.html
